Lindsay Lohan lawsuit news reported that the "Speed The Plow" actress and her brother, Michael Lohan Jr, are facing a $60 Million case against a man claiming to be their former business partner.
According to Lindsay Lohan lawsuit news reported by Eyewitness News, the two have been formally slammed with a court case from a website developer named Fima Potik. The celebrity siblings were also issued with a temporary restraining order last week from Manhattan Supreme Court Judge Saliann Scarpulla prohibiting them to promote an app named "Vigme".
Lindsay Lohan lawsuit news involving alleged former business partner and web developer Fima Potik started a few months ago. The man claimed Lindsay Lohan and her brother Michael Jr. stole his "virtual closet" app idea.
According to the report from TMZ, the actress and her brother allegedly made a deal with the tech entrepreneur for a startup project called "Spotted Friend". With the app, users can supposedly get a glimpse of what's inside celebrities' closets.
Users have the option of buying the celebrities' clothes, and a portion of the sales gets shared between the former star owners and app developers.
TMZ recalled that the former "Mean Girls" lead character even tweeted about "Spotted Friend" in July 2013.
However, the team behind the virtual closet app reportedly parted ways. The Lohan siblings then decided to develop an app similar to "Spotted Friend", called "Vigme".
The celebrity family's plan to launch a similar app reached their former partners. The developers have reportedly issued a cease and desist order and threatened to file a formal lawsuit to prevent Lindsay Lohan and her team from releasing the said app.
The lawyer of Lindsay Lohan responded to lawsuit news: "Allegations of any impropriety in Lindsay Lohan's business relationship concerning this Web site are inaccurate and clearly designed to capitalize on her worldwide recognition as a fashion icon."
