Melissa Rivers news reported that the daughter of late "Fashion Police" host Joan Rivers broke down during a charity event for "House Of Hope".
According to a report from People, the 46-year-old co-emceed the 21st Anniversary House of Hope Gala. The gathering was held in Los Angeles last weekend to raise funds for Our House Grief Support Center.
According to Melissa Rivers news, Joan Rivers' only child became involved with "House Of Hope" after her father, Edgar Rosenberg, took away his own life a couple of years ago.
Melissa Rivers tried to keep the atmosphere light inserting occasional jokes. During her speech, she said: "About seven weeks ago, I lost my mother... And I feel like I'm in the Hair Club for Men ad. Not only am I the ambassador, but I'm a client, too, now. It's a little awkward."
Melissa Rivers still tried to poke fun at the situation when she eventually broke down into tears. "Does everyone know what the drag queen cry is? So you don't mess up your make-up, you have to lean over. So I'm crying like a drag queen," she said, reported by People.
Just recently, Melissa Rivers news reported she will be filing a multi-million dollar lawsuit against Yorkville Endoscopy. According to a report from New York Daily News, Melissa Rivers signed Gair, Gair, Conason, Steigman, Maloof, Bloom and Rubinowitz to take on the high profile case.
The group will reportedly proceed with a lawsuit to be filed against the Upper East Side clinic Yorkville Endoscopy, who is allegedly responsible for the TV icon's untimely death.
The said Joan Rivers news was confirmed by managing partner Ben Rubinowitz: "In order to fully determine all the facts and circumstances surrounding the death of Joan Rivers, we confirm that our firm has been engaged by Melissa Rivers and her family."
