In the latest "The Big Bang Theory" season 8 episode 7 recap titled "The Misinterpretation Agitation", we are introduced to Dr. Lorvis, played by no other than Academy Award winner Billy Bob Thornton who Penny (Kaley Cuoco) meets as she works as a pharmaceutical sales rep.
"The Big Bang Theory" season 8 episode 7 story recap develops (spoiler) as Dr. Lorvis misinterprets Penny's flirting as an invitation to pursue a romantic relationship. He then proceeds to Penny's front door, with flowers in tow and coincidentally bumps into Sheldon (Jim Parsons) on his way up to the apartment.
In "The Big Bang Theory" season 8 episode 7 recap, the gang finds out that Dr. Lorvis has worked on a couple of celebrities as a urinary specialist, and has stored a couple of memorabilia in his home. The boys decide to visit Dr. Lorvis' collection, and they become locked inside, as Dr. Lorvis proceeds to woo Penny back, only to get attracted to both Bernadette and Amy. When the gang recreates a high school prom on the roof of the guy's apartment building, Sheldon feels pressure to participate in all the typical romantic traditions."
Based on speculations online, "The Big Bang Theory" season 8 episode 8 will show how difficult prom era was for Bernadette and Amy, while is was the most wonderful time in Penny's. Spoilers on "The Big Bang Theory" season 8 episode 8 also reveal that this might be a turning point in Sheldon and Amy's relationship as Dr. Cooper might be pressured into doing romantic gestures he otherwise wouldn't do.
