"Fifty Shades Of Grey" cast Rita Ora's Twitter account allegedly got hacked. But her fans did not buy the idea and instead accused her of a failed promo for her upcoming music.
The 23-year-old British songstress tweeted recently about the release of her new music if it gets 100,000 retweets, Standard said in a report.
Rita Ora Twitter account said, "Dropping my new song monday if this gets 100,000 retweets."
But the new "The Voice UK" judge's promo did not hit the 100,000 retweets and instead settled for only 2,000. This was unlikely considering her 3 milliom Twitter followers.
The "Fifty Shades Of Grey" cast Rita Ora went for her defense saying, "by the way my Twitter got hacked somebody is threatening to release new music I've worked really hard on. Nothing comes out until I'm ready."
Calvin Harris' ex-girlfriend added, "Or the bots insists on it! When it's ready we will drop music! Luckily, I caught the hacker really quickly and deleted the post. Thankyou!!"
But fans of the "How We Do" singer did not buy her explanation.
Twitter user @Annchirisu went sarcastic and said, "Can I get 7000 followers by tonight? I promise I won't delete these tweet out of embarrassment if I don't, unlike Rita Ora. Lol!"
A report from Business Insider also said that the "R.I.P" singer has bought over 1, 366, 326 followers to widen her fan base, thus the lack of retweets she got.
The report also added that the singer is still building her fan base though her latest collaboration with Iggy Azalea's chart-topping hit "Black Widow" made her even more known in the music industry.
"Black Widow" has been reported to have reached the number four spot in the chart in August.
After Rita Ora and Calvin Harris' split in June, the "I Will Never Let You Down" singer has rumored to be getting problems with the release of her sophomore album as her ex-boyfriend retracted his compositions.
