Following the success of "Watch Dogs" as its PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One versions were released early this year, creator Ubisoft has promised the new video game as a franchise. "Watch Dogs 2" release date, characters, location and other news update surface online.

At the E3 this year, Ubsioft Senior VP Tony Key announced that the success of "Watch Dogs" has cemented the video game as a franchise. He says during the event referring to the development of "Watch Dogs 2", "Any team that's going to make a sequel is going to have to come up with something innovative and entertaining. Otherwise, the brand doesn't grow. That'll be the challenge for the guys, if and when they start taking about making another game."

Although as most remains unofficial, "Watch Dogs 2" release date and other information as in characters, locations, and gameplay have surfaced online. Among the many rumors circling the web includes the newest locations to "Watch Dogs 2".

According to "Watch Dogs 2" location rumors found online, the relentless hacking and adventure will be set in additional nine locations such as Beijing, Dubai, London, New York, San Francisco, Silicon City, Singapore, Stockholm, and Tokyo. In these "Watch Dogs 2" locations, gamers will experience a different environment that will definitely add spice to playing the hacking video game.

Vigilante Aiden Pearce, who leads "Watch Dogs", is unclear to return to "Watch Dogs 2" upon its release date. According to a report early this year, Ubisoft CEO, Yves Guillermot shares with Game Rant that he is quite unsure whether character Aiden Pearce is going to lead "Watch Dogs 2". With a statement "I can't say because I don't know actually. We'll see," "Watch Dogs 2" fans speculate that a new character might be upcoming for the developing game.

Upon the "Watch Dogs 2" release date, gamers will experience a revamped and improved gameplay with new locations and possibly even new characters to take the adventure with. Ubisoft's Lionel Raynaud assures fans that "Watch Dogs 2" will be an update to its predecessor.

Talking to CVG, he shares on the developing "Watch Dogs 2": "There are flaws, obviously. We absolutely want to tackle these flaws and surprise players, and the way to tackle some of those flaws is going to be quite radical. There are parts of the game that will need to change. We have this ambition to have games that are worlds with systems that offer more agency and freedom for players, that allow them to discover the world in the way they want. We want them to be less narrative or character driven and more creative, with more choices for the player."

"Watch Dogs 2" release date is speculated on summer of 2016 for PS4, PC and Xbox One.
