Anna Marie Caldwell is at the center of the controversy that lead to the cancellation of her family's reality series Here Comes Honey Boo Boo. Her mother, June Shannon, was accused of having a relationship with her molester when she was just eight years old. Although she defended her mom on Instagram after confronting her regarding the issue, Anna Marie, who is known in the show as Chickadee, broke down when she was urged to speak about the ugly event in her life during an interview.
In an emotional interview with Entertainment Tonight Thursday, Caldwell said that she is upset and feel betrayed with everything that is happening. She is especially hurt by the actions of her mom who reportedly is having a relationship with Mark McDaniel, a registered sex offender who victimized her 10 years. The man is now free after serving 10 years behind bars.
'I'm mad. I'm upset. I feel betrayed. I feel very hurt,' said the sister of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo star Alana. 'That's the main thing that I am - I feel very hurt that Mama let him come around.
'She's smiling and giggling when he's around. You know, he's a child molester, Mama. He did this to me. Why would you let him come around the girls knowing what he did?'
She even thinks that the mother of TLC star Alana Mama June should have not talked or came near McDaniel.
"She let him get around Alana and Pumpkin knowing that she is going to get the kids taken away,' she cried. 'Why? Why let him?"
When asked what she would do once she meet McDaniel, the Honey Boo Boo star said while in tears:
'I would look at him in disgust. I would either spit in his face and say "Either you f***ing leave or I will call the cops because you're not supposed to be here because you know what you did."
Here Comes Honey Boo Boo TV series had 52 episodes in its four season run.
