It had always been my dream to own a hotel. When I found myself in between hospitality management jobs, I decided to take my life savings and search for an affordable hotel franchise. There were many to choose from, but I soon discovered that Super 8 matched not only my available budget, but also my personal philosophy in hospitality.

With over two thousand locations around the U.S. and Canada, Super 8 has been capitalizing on its philosophy to provide quality accommodations at a low price since 1976. They are a member of the Wyndham Hotel Group and a sister company to such well known name brands as Ramada, Travelodge, Howard Johnson, and Days Inn. Fifteen percent of their franchisees own more than one hotel location. I was pleased to see that they were expanding around the U.S. and world, and that they offer exclusive territories with the franchise.

The training and support for this franchise has made a big difference for my experience. They started me with a five day training program at the Parsippany, New Jersey headquarters. They then came to our new location and organized two days of training for my staff. Super 8 also offered me regional workshops and specifically tailored property training. On top of this, they gave me good marketing support with promotions in the national media. I also benefit from purchasing cooperatives, a toll free support line, the company newsletter, and various meetings that they organize.
