This season on "American Horror Story: Freak Show," at least two characters from seasons past will be featured.
According to reports by Entertainment Weekly on Friday, Ryan Murphy cleared up the rumors and confirmed that all seasons of "American Horror Story" are connected.
Ryan Murphy revealed a lot of clues and spoilers in a recent interview. Murphy admitted that many recent articles speculating about "American Horror Story" have been remarkably accurate.
Especially where the connection between seasons is concerned.
Naomi Grossman's "Asylum" character Pepper has already been featured as one of the freaks in "Freak Show."
Fans recently learned that Lily Rabe will be coming back to "American Horror Story" as her "Asylum" character as well.
Rabe will make her "Freak Show" debut as Sister Mary Eunice in the episode 10 cliff hanger before the FX hit heads into a winter break.
Ryan Murphy said that the connection between Pepper and Sister Mary Eunice will be explained. Murphy also said that other connections will start to be made.
In his interview, Ryan Murphy said that season two is related to season four and season four is related to season one. Fans of the show who enjoy hunting for clues should definitely pay attention as more and more clues are being dropped as to how each of the "American Horror Story" seasons relates to the others in some sort of puzzle.
Murphy also confirmed a huge clue for season five.
When asked about the scene where Maggie is handed a cup of coffee from a police officer, Ryan Murphy confirmed that the top hat pictured on the lid of the cup is a clue. He said, "That is a big season five clue! It's an arcane clue, but it's very purposeful, and it illuminates something that you'll be like, 'Oh! You dirty b******!'"
