Oppo unveiled its two flagship the R5 and the N5 yesterday in an event in Singapore, and is reported ti be release in the Asian Market first.
Dubbed as the 'world's thinnest smartphone' at 4.85mm.
The Oppo R5 has surpassed the Gionee Elife S5.1 smartphone which was listed in Guinness Book of World Records as the thinnest smartphone in the world at 5.1 mm. The R5 is so thin that it doesn't have a regular 3.5 mm headphone port. Users will have to rely on their Bluetooth earphones or connect via an adapter, as noted by Indian Express.
The Oppo R5 features a a 5.2-inch full HD 1080p with Gorilla Corning Glass 3 and AMOLED screen. It is armed with Snapdragon 801 quad-core CPU with 2GB RAM and 16Gb of internal storage. Unfortunately it doesnt have a micro sd slot so you're stuck at 16Gb.
The R5 sports a stunning 13MP rear camera with 5Mp front camera. Engadget added that it features a "PI 2.0 Plus Flash Shot technology which delivers 50MP high-definition picture clarity."
Meanwhile, the Oppo N3 sports a larger screen at 5.5-inch 1080p screen. It runs on Snapdragon 801 and a larger internal storage at 32Gb with a micro sd slot.
It sports a single 16Mp camera that " it rotates on a case-mounted hinge to function as both the rear and the front-facing camera and t he motorized camera and flash module rotates 206 degrees from back to front.", as per Android Police.
It also added that it features additional functions such as a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner-slash-scroll sensor, an optional remote shutter, dual SIM card slots, and a stylish "arc" notification light, along with the same quick-charge capability as the R5.
The Oppo R5 release date is said to be on December along with the Oppo.
