Amanda Bynes, 28, was again placed on an involuntary 5150 medical hold in Pasadena on October 10, after accusing her father of sexual abuse due to, according to her, a "microchip" in her brain, which she quickly recanted on Twitter shortly before flying from New York to Los Angeles the morning of Oct. 10.
"My dad never did any of those things. The microchip in my brain made me say those things but he's the one that ordered them to microchip me," Bynes tweeted hours before she touched down at LAX.
TMZ.com first reported, in her court filings, mom Lynn Bynes cited the former Nickelodeon star's recent DUI arrest, a shop lifting incident, in California and erratic public behavior in New York as she argued that Bynes poses a "substantial risk" to herself and others.
According to a source, Amanda Bynes also bought Cartier jewelry and watches for her teachers and administrators at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Southern California, and gifts for random people who started hanging around during her recent breakdown. The money spent was "alarming," the source said, so the actress mom Lynn Bynes quietly filed for an emergency probate conservatorship over the troubled actress last week.
Days after, the former child star is now back under a court-ordered conservatorship, a 30-day extension of her involuntary commitment, as her doctors approached the judge about extending the stay, explaining they do not think she is well enough to be released.
Beforehand, the "Easy A" actress was diagnosed with schizophrenia last year, and now are considered as a different diagnosis said the doctors, the source told The News.
The request was granted quickly by a judge in Ventura County, Calif., online court records show.
The probate conservatorship will allow Lynn Bynes to take control over her daughter's estate while she remains in round-the-clock treatment.
"She's still very mad. But hopefully the medication will begin to take effect, and she will realize she doesn't hate everyone and apologize. Like last time," the source said.
