'Destiny' DLC 'The Dark Below' - Destiny's First Expasion Will Be Released On December 9

| By

Activision has set a launch date on Destiny's "The Dark Below DLC" - December 9. Total Box said the game will be more intensified with its newly added weapons, gear, story missions, co-op and multiplayer activities to Bungie's interplanetary epic.

Activision said "The Dark Below" will have the new weapons, armor, and gear to earn, including Legendary and Exotic items. Along with that the light Level cap will be raised from 30 to 32, which means more endgame gear to earn in order for Guardians to get there, and five additional Bounty slots will be added.

Also there will have three new competitive multiplayer arenas, namely Pantheon, which is set deep within the Black Garden in an ancient Vex temple that features Vex-designed landscapes and tight corridors. The second is the Skyshock, an old interplanetary defense array that offers both vehicle and infantry engagements. Third, Cauldron, an abandoned Hive ritual site that offers close-quarter combat.

Furthermore, there will be six new players and Raid, Crota's End, will set deep within the depths of the Hellmouth.

PlayStation3 and 4 platforms will also get an opportunity to an exclusive cooperative Strike, The Undying Mind, and more. Also, one new strike, The Will of Crota, is included in "The Dark Below" for all platforms.

As announced by Polygon recently, "The Dark Below" is one of two expansions that Bungie currently has planned for Destiny. "House of Wolves" is the other expansion that they are planning to release early next year.

"The Dark Below" has new story quests and missions that will revolve around the Hive's effort to bring a god, Crota, to destroy the Earth. It is focused on the Moon, and Guardians will have to find a new character named Eris in the Tower to begin "The Dark Below's" missions.

According to Activision, there's more exclusive content yet to be announced for "The Dark Below," all of which will remain exclusive to Sony's consoles until fall 2015 at the earliest.

Gamespot said that you can buy "The Dark Below" for $20 in the U.S. and £20 in the U.K.
