After years of waiting, another Terminator franchise, Terminator: Genisys just wrapped up its shoot this August 6, 2014 in San Francisco!
Terminator: Genisys is an upcoming American science fiction action film directed by Alan Taylor (Game of Thrones, Thor: The Dark World), produced by David Ellison and Dana Goldberg and written by Laeta Kalogridis and Patrick Lussier.
Based on Entertainment Weekly's official poster released, lead characters will be Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones) as Sarah Connor and Jason Clarke (Divergent) as John Connor. Along with others including Jai Courtney, Dayo Okeniyi, Courtney B. Vance, Matt Smith, Byung-hun Lee and J. K. Simmons.
But what really thrilled the movie is the comeback of the legend Arnold Schwarzenegger as the old T-800 and as "pops" (announced via Instagram).
According to EW, the new movie said to take place in 2029, when John Connor (Jason Clarke) once again sends Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) back to 1984 to save Connor's mother. The rebooted version features a more hardened Sarah Connor, who has taken on a more badass personality after being raised by Arnold Schwarzenegger's T-800.
"Since she was 9 years old, [Sarah] has been told everything that was supposed to happen," producer David Ellison said. "But Sarah fundamentally rejects that destiny. She says, 'That's not what I want to do.' It's her decision that drives the story in a very different direction."
Though, being the fifth installment of Terminator series, it happened to receive negative feedbacks from fans:
Those covers make Terminator: Genisys look like a damn fan film.

EW cover for TERMINATOR GENISYS looks like when they get celebs to recreate famous scenes in movies for a goofy photo spread.

[Sarah Connor] was orphaned by a Terminator at age 9. Since then, she's been raised by (brace yourself) Schwarzenegger's Terminator-an older T-800 she calls "Pops"-who is programmed to guard rather than to kill. As a result, Sarah is a highly trained antisocial recluse who's great with a sniper rifle but not so skilled at the nuances of human emotion.
Story details from TERMINATOR: GENISYS sound like fan fiction. Not excited about that flick at all.

I have zero interest in the new TERMINATOR franchise. I can't even muster the energy to read about it. #deadhorse

It's actually depressing how low my enthusiasm is for this new TERMINATOR pic. I WANT to love GENISYS (ugh) but today's PR doesn't excite me

SARAH CONNOR DOES NOT CALL THE TERMINATOR "POPS"
