We just can't get enough of Benedict Cumberbatch! Updated 2014 news reveals the actor in talks with Marvel to frontline the upcoming "Doctor Strange" movie - but not everyone is happy. "Sherlock" star reveals how he would do a love scene in an interview.
Recently, the Internet exploded with updated news on another upcoming Marvel movie, "Doctor Strange" with no other than "Sherlock" star Benedict Cumberbatch's name attached to it. Naturally, members of the "Cumber-collective" or more aggressively-named "Cumberb*tches" raised their banners of victory as their favorite Englishman will appear on the big screen upon "Doctor Strange" release date in July 8, 2016. However, not everyone was happy about this 2014 news.
Fans of Benedict Cumberbatch rejoiced at the 2014 news of "Sherlock" star taking on a Marvel character. Although nothing is set to stone (save for "Doctor Strange" release date), Benedict Cumberbatch's supporters were quite happy about the "Doctor Strange" (possible) casting.
However, not everybody took this Benedict Cumberbatch 2014 news lightly. Some Marvel fans believe that over-exposed Benedict Cumberbatch isn't at all a good choice for the 2016 "Doctor Strange" movie, even going so far as to announce that they will not watch the Marvel film altogether. Twitter explosion ensued after "Sherlock" star news on playing "Doctor Strange".
Regardless of how things will unfold - whether the 2014 news that Benedict Cumberbatch will indeed sign on into Marvel's "Doctor Strange" project - we are at least certain that Marvel is committing to the 2016 release date, as no updates on moving it have surfaced. As "Sherlock" star Benedict Cumberbatch has yet to confirm his involvement in the "Doctor Strange" production, let's remember that at one time, other stars were "in negotiations" with Marvel as does Benedict Cumberbatch now. This includes Keanu Reeves, Jared Leto, Ethan Hawke, and Joaquin Phoenix.
Meanwhile, after the entire Marvel "Doctor Strange" news in 2014, Benedict Cumberbatch shared in an interview with Elle UK, how a love scene would go in the television series "Sherlock". The interviewer unwittingly assumed that while "Sherlock" is knowledgeable in most things, love scenes wouldn't be among them and most probably would be "terrible" during a love scene. Benedict Cumberbatch responded with a detailed description of the love scene his character Sherlock could share with another.
In the interview, Benedict Cumberbatch describes the love scene vividly, and closes around with this "And I'd know exactly how to get that person into it, and get pleasure out of making that person feel pleasure... It's not that kind of program, is it?"
