Slipknot's Corey Taylor recently spoke with a Las Vegas radio personality (concidentally named Corey Taylor), expressing his disappointment in the premature identification of the new bassist. He also discussed that the new members aren't quite permanent members, yet.

via Loudwire:

"They're not official bandmembers yet, but they are people who play with the band. Time will tell whether or not they're, like, full members."

"With this band, you earn everything. You're not just given that shot; you have to earn it. And so far, they're doing really well. And we're really enjoying jamming with them. But we're keeping it kind of on the DL, but not really, 'cause somebody already pointed out the tattoos. I was, like, 'Why didn't we make him wear gloves?' I was so upset. I was, like, we thought of all this stuff. We put the hood on him and then the mask, and it was, like, 'It's really hot, guys,' And then there is his tattoos for everybody [to see]. I was, like, 'Well, we missed the mark on that one.'"

With the release of the 'Devil In I' music video, the band has revealed the masks of the new members. Although there's no official confirmation yet, hardcore fans have figured out the bassist Paul Gray's replacement. An article at Faster Louder exhibits screenshots of the bassist's tattoos, which are similar to 'Krokodil' guitarist and 'Mastodon' guitar tech Alessandro Venturella. Jay Weinberg, son of Conan O' Brien's E Street Band drummer Max Weinberg, is still the rumored replacement for Joey Jordison.

The band will be releasing their fifth studio album'.5: The Gray Chapter' on October 21 under Roadrunner Records. The band has released another single from the upcoming album entitled "Custer".

They are also currently on a U.S. tour supporting the new album with Korn and King 810:

"We've been waiting a long time for this," says Taylor. "Not only do we get to tour with friends who we respect, we've also chosen a band that represents the fury of the future. Slipknot is coming to your town. And hell's coming with us."

Update: A complete video of the band playing at Knotfest with the new members has surfaced online
