Aww!! A daughter's approval is worth more than a diamond ring. Dylan Penn, the daughter of 54-year-old actor Sean Penn, told Us Weekly on October 28 that she absolutely approves on her dad's girlfriend, 39-year-old actress Charlize Theron.
At the Dsquared2 party in Hollywood, 23-year-old Dylan said, "They've been away for months working together in South Africa, so I haven't seen much of either of them. She's great and they're amazing together. As long as my dad's happy, I'm happy for both of them."
Dylan also revealed what makes Theron really great. "Well, she's brilliant for one thing," the model continued, "and she's the only woman since my mom who can shut my dad up. The only woman! That is a f---ing challenge so... She's a powerhouse."
This January, Penn and Theron were confirmed to be dating. Currently, both are in South Africa to film the drama The Last Face, starring Charlize Theron and directed by Sean Penn.
A source revealed to Us this summer that, "Sean is revitalized with Charlize." The source added that they see marriage and children in their future.
Currently, Theron has an adopted son, Jackson, who is now three years old. During the mid '90s, Theron was involved in a a two-year relationship with actor Craig Bierko. The actress then dated Third Eye Blind frontman, Stephan Jenkins from 1997-2001. Afterwards, Theron had a nine-year relationship with Irish actor Stuart Townsend and separated in January 2010.
In 1984, Penn was engaged to actress Elizabeth McGovern and a year after, he married pop singer Madonna. After a highly publicized marriage, Penn and Madonna divorced in 1989. Afterwards, he dated actress Robin Wright and had their firstborn daughter Dylan Frances in 1991. In 1993, the couple had their second child, a son named Hopper Jack. The couple was married on April 1996 and got divorced on July 2010.
