Jennifer Lopez shared her past relationship on her new book, True Love!
Different from its title, True Love, Jennifer Lopez's reveals her relationship with former husband Marc Antony have always been the opposite.
Jennifer Lopez told People Magazine that she "went back and forth so many times" when deciding whether she wanted to share intimate details of her life in her new book. She made the brave decision to open up about her shocking past in order to get one main message across to her readers - "We're not victims in this life."
According to the "On The Floor" singer, she has been in relationships where she has 'felt abused in one way or another.'
"I've never gotten a black eye or busted lip, but I've been in relationships where I have felt abused in one way or another: mentally, emotionally, verbally," Jennifer writes in a selection from her new book obtained by People Magazine.
"I know what it feels like for your soul to be diminished by the way your loved one is treating you....but everyday that you don't walk out that door, everyday you accept things in your partnerand in yourself, is a day that you're saying it's okay," she continues.
Jennifer, 45, also bravely recalls the day "when everything changed." She writes, "I had just celebrated our seventh wedding anniversary. Anybody looking from the outside in would have thought my life was great....What people didn't know was that life really wasn't that good. My relationship was falling apart, and I was terrified."
She was preparing for a photo shoot when she started to have a panic attack. "My heart was beating out of my chest, and I felt like I couldn't breath....My mom was there and she rushed to my side.....I blurted out the words: "I don't think I can be with Marc anymore." Then I burst into tears," she tells readers.
She goes on to say that "this road of healing and rediscovery has been a long one" but she is in "the best place" she's ever been!
Jennifer Lopez book, True Love will be release on November 4.
