Ed Sheeran ‘Thinking Out Loud’ Performed For The First Time On National TV! Who Does He ‘Love’ In ‘The X-Factor UK?

| By

Ed Sheeran's 'Thinking Out Loud' first live TV performance happened at the The X-Factor UK 2014 last Sunday and the acoustic sensation even dressed for the occasion. He also confessed his "love" for a certain contestant!

Known for being a casual dresser, Sheeran opted to forgo his usual plaid shirt and showed up looking quiet smart in a white Oxford shirt and a vest. Fans can remember him wearing a similar outfit during the romantic video for the song.

The songwriter's performance didn't just feature him with his guitar either. For this 'X-Factor' appearance, he had a full backing band as well as several people holding onto lights to resemble stars on stage.

"I wanted to make it special because it's the first time I've performed this song on UK TV," he shared during the short talk he had with Dermot O'Leary.

After Ed Sheeran's 'Thinking Out Loud' performance, the host asked him which of the contestants he was rooting for.

"I love Andrea," he 23-year-old musician answered.

What was so lovable about the adorable bearded Italian?

Sheeran revealed that he liked "the pug thing, the singing."

He added, "I just want to hug him every time I see him."

It looks like his fondness paid off. Andrea Faustini gave a "fantastic, passionate" performance this week singing Beyonce's 'Listen' and was consequently saved from elimination.

However, his friend, Jake Quickenden, wasn't so lucky. He failed to impress the judges with his rendition of 'Red' by Daniel Merriweather. Mentor Mel B was left in tears as he hugged Quickenden goodbye.

The judges saved Only The Young, who will join the remaining contestants - Stereo Kicks, Stevi Ritchie, Ella Henderson, Paul Akister, Lauren Platt, Lola Saunders, Fleur East, Ben Haenow, Jay James, and Jack Walton -for next week's elimination.

Meanwhile, Ed Sheeran recently admitted that he already forgave the cheating former flame mentioned in his hit song 'Don't.' Instead of feeling bitter about it, he let go of his anger the moment he wrote the song. He was also actually grateful for the experience because it helped him produce such a song.

What did you think of Ed Sheeran's 'Thinking Out Loud' performance? Do you love Andrea Faustini as much as Sheeran?
