Rita Ora and Calvin Harris did not break up amicably, if reports are to be believed. After the drama at the Teen Choice Awards, the "Black Widow" singer opens up about the split. While fans have assumed that their split in June was awful, the "I Will Never Let You Down" singer claims otherwise.
In the cover story for the December issue of Cosmopolitan, Rita Ora says Calvin Harris "was the right guy at the wrong time." She added, "I was about to start a tour, and he was also all over the place. There's only so much you can do when you don't see each other. I really admire people who have long-distance relationships. It's an incredible achievement. I couldn't do it."
Harris also spoke of the split previously and said "To address speculation - myself and Rita ended our relationship some time ago. She is a beautiful, talented woman & I wish her all the best."
The singer did not only talk about her DJ/producer ex, however, she also spoke about sex and how important it is to be comfortable with your body. "I'm very proud to say that I think about sex," Ora said. "It's what everybody thinks about, whether they say it or not. For me, sex is a form of getting to know a person - feeling someone's skin."
As for being comfortable in your own skin, the Iggy Azalea collaborator said: "You have to come to terms with loving your body. Stand naked in front of the mirror and say, 'I'm fucking sexy.' That's where it starts."
While the singer is very comfortable with talks of sexuality, it's not the only thing on her mind, of course. Ora gushed about what it's like to work with Iggy Azalea on the feminist hit "Black Widow." The singer said, "As soon as I heard it, I was like, 'This is the f----ng song.' Katy Perry co-wrote it - it felt nice to have all women involved."
