Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl Hits Out American Idol By Using Bob Dylan As Example

| By

For sure, many people out there have already imagined their favorite singers going up on the stage of the American Idol as if they are some kind ordinary musicians trying their luck in the music industry for the first time. Will they fail or will they advance? For Foo Fighters front man Dave Grohl, he doesn't think that he will make it to Hollywood if he choose to join American Idol which is now on its 14th season. The show has produced a lot of good singers like Kelly Clarkson, Jordin Sparks, Philipp Philipps and Carrie Underwood. However, for the former Nirvana member he doesn't think he has a chance once he audition for a Golden Ticket.

"I would never make it," Dave Grohl told CBS' 60 Minutes during an interview Sunday. He even used the legendary Bob Dylan as an example and how he would be turned down by picky judges.

"Who's to say they're not good or not?" Grohl offered. "Imagine Bob Dylan standing there singing 'Blowin' in the Wind' in front of those judges? 'Sorry, it's a little nasally and a little flat. Next.' "

American Idol is set to return January next year featuring Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick, Jr. as the judges. Despite seeing people's interest on the show dropping season from season, the show is hoping to get back more fans. First gimmick American Idol 14 prepared for its return is ditching the Hollywood or Home level, sort of. According to Idol Pad, a notorious source for spoilers related to the singing contest, the show will ask Golden Ticket winners to "choose a single song, record a video of themselves singing it, and submit it to producers ahead of time for casting purposes, presumably for the judges to assess and review." Could this be a game changer? Well, that is still up for judgment.

Well, fans has the Gods to thank that Dave Grohl and the whole Foo Fighters band were formed before the American Idol. They are good, natural, and really talented.
