For the 47-year-old actress Julia Roberts, there was no greater surgical risk than not having surgery at all. Of course, the well-known actress was talking about plastic surgery.
The Runawat Bride actress opened up in an interview with the UK's You magazine on her decision not to undergo cosmetic surgery when she grows older.
According to the Erin Brockovich actress, "By Hollywood standards, I guess I've already taken a big risk in not having had a face-lift."
Her comments came out after a recent shock in the acting industry had found itself in the limelight in the recent days. Actress Renee Zellweger had people turning heads last week when she appeared at the red carpet at the 2014 Elle Women in Hollywood Awards in Beverly Hills, California, with a really different face.
People were all shocked on her appearance as the once cute actress had become an entirely different person.
Roberts continued, "I've told Lancome that I want to be an aging model," the Pretty Woman actress said. She has been an ambassador for the Lancome since 2009. "They have to keep me for at least five more years until I'm over 50."
The actress also told the magazine that she does "studying yoga on a more conscious level."
As a mom to three kids - 9-year-olds Hazel and Phinnaeus and 7-year-old Henry, and a wife to husband Danny Moder for 12 years, the actress also revealed that she found peace and happiness on her life. She stressed that doing her motherly duties has made her happy. She added that, "It's about non-grasping, non-hoarding, cleaning out your closet, dusting out your mind and letting go of the things that weigh you down mentally and emotionally. There's a lightness to my life now - an airy quality of not taking things too seriously. That's happiness"
