"Freeheld" cast Ellen Page and Julianne Moore were banned from shooting their movie in a New York City state Catholic School. The lesbian star meanwhile took to Twitter to reveal her rants about the ban.
"Freeheld" cast Ellen Page and Julianne Moore were banned from filming the civil rights lesbian film in a Catholic school due to its "subject matter."
In a report from Independent UK, the "Freeheld" cast was initially given the permission to shoot some scenes in the school but the decision was later on retracted by the principal.

Seasoned actress Julianne Moore plays as a terminally ill police detective. Meanwhile, the "Into The Forest" actress Ellen Page plays as her car mechanic partner.
According to "Freeheld" film producer Michael Shamberg, the Catholic school have allowed shoots before.
He said, "They turned us down because of the subject matter. The school has approved other shoots in the past."
After the banning of shoot, the film producer said in his reply, "[The film is] not about gay marriage, nor are the women attempting to get married."
He also added, "It is about recognizing the dignity of a woman who was a brave civil servant."
He also explained that the film is also under what Pope Francis said to "welcome and accept gay people."
The "Inception" and "Juno" actress meanwhile took to Twitter to release her opinion regarding the said ban, Perez Hilton said in a report.
The lesbian actress, who came out in February in an LGBT conference, said that bigotry makes her sad.
"Using religion to justify bigotry makes me sad," she said in her tweet.
The "Into The Forest" actress added, "Sending my support 2 the LGBT students at the school who I hope r able 2 find acceptance."
