After hearing from "What A Girl Wants' star Amanda Bynes' parents, Rick and Lynn, that they have not been working with Sam Lufti regarding their daughter's involuntary hold contrary to earlier reports, another news has surfaced that the troubled star's parents are allegedly seeking the advice of Jamie Spears, Britney Spears' dad.
We know that Britney went through a similar period back in 2007 such as shaving her head and staying in a drug rehabilitation facility, along with putting herself in treatment facilities. But the biggest blow for her may be losing her custody of her 2 sons with rapper and fashion model Kevin Federline during those times.
According to British magazine Cover, Rick and Lynn Bynes were introduced to Jamie Spears through a common friend and that Jamie was kind enough to be of help to them, having undergone the same thing with his daughter. "Amanda's parents are very worried and they got in touch with Jamie via mutual friends as he'd been through something similar. "Jamie told them not to blame themselves and suggested they have counseling. He's offered to help in any way he can," a source told the magazine.
Jamie initially got temporary conservatorship over Britney in 2008, which eventually became permanent, after she was put on a 5150 involuntary psychiatric hold at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. Amanda went through the same thing for the first time last year where her parents got full conservatorship over her.
Now that the What A Girl Wants star is back to being put on 5150 psychiatric hold, her parents are again doing all they can to help their daughter fully bounce back from her troubled state. With the prospect of not gaining conservatorship over their daughter this time, they are looking at all other possibilities to win this case again.
"Amanda's family is not taking any chances, they've asked Jamie [who has been Britney's conservator since 2008] for his lawyer's details and for his experience over obtaining conservatorships," added the source.
We will give an update on what's next for Amanda and her parents in the coming days.
