DC Super VIllain Group 'Suicide Squad' Hits The Big Screen On August 2016: Jesse Eisenberg Plays Lex Luthor

| By

More good news for Jesse Eisenberg as he is reportedly in early talks of a possible reprise of his role as Lex Luthor in another DC Film "Suicide Squad" slated to hit the big screen on August 2016, after the Man of Steel sequel Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice. This is according to the reports made by Deadline. How true is this? The "Now You See Me" star and Warner Bros. are yet to comment on the said rumor.

Suicide Squad is a story about a group of supervillains that were gathered together and commissioned to perform a high-risk "black ops" assignment for the government. Other actors that are being eyed for major roles on the said film are Will Smith, Tom Hardy and Margot Robbie.

However, the Zombieland actor reportedly has several projects still to be finished such as "Now You See Me 2" which is scheduled to release on 2016, as well as Todd Phillips' "Arms and the Dudes." There is also the possibility of him doing "Zombieland 2" sequel. We don't really know how he can squeeze another movie in his already busy schedule, but it is possible that he could be filming all of them at the same time.

He became the subject or rumors as of late because some DC fans were not delighted upon finding out that he took on the role as Lex Luthor in the surefire movie Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice. In an interview with him by TotalFilm last August, he said that he didn't accept the role of Luthor just so his name could be "attached to an assumed blockbuster film."

He was handed a script after asking him if he could take part of the said movie and from there, he found the script and role interesting. He said he still would do it even if there was no hype attached. " You know, they don't just hand the scripts out. But I really liked it on its own terms. I would do it if it was for free and it was tiny," the actor said.

The much-awaited Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice is reported to have its first trailer December 2014 and scheduled to be released by March 25, 2016.
