Joan Rivers' untimely death is still being mourned by "Fashion Police" mainstay Kelly Osbourne. According to a report from Huffington Post, the co-host recently revealed on Instagram her new tattoo in honor of the late comedienne.
The meaning behind Kelly Osbourne's new tattoo, which is a bumble bee on her left shoulder, was explained in her photo caption.
Her post read: "In honor of you @joanrivers...'If you looked at aerodynamics, at science, the bumble bee should not be able to fly. Physically, it was just not anatomically equipped to soar."
Kelly Osbourne explained, reported by Huffington Post: "Yet it did, defying gravity, defying logic. The bee was a creature that defied and beat the odds, a miracle."
"Thank you for being my miracle @joanrivers," she closed.
Kelly Osbourne was among those who grieved Joan Rivers' untimely death last September 4. The comedienne was 81 years old.
Prior to her new tattoo, the daughter of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne posted this tribute on Instagram: "I'm completely heartbroken by the loss of my beloved Joan. Not only was she my boss, she was and will always be my teacher, therapist, closest friend, inspiration and the only grandmother I ever knew. She was family and I will never forget her."
Joan Rivers death news recently reported that the late comedienne's daughter appears to not accept her cause of death. According to a report from Daily Mail, Melissa Rivers reportedly did not even order an autopsy to be done on her TV icon mother.
TMZ detailed that the 46-year-old was so depressed following her mother's untimely death that she specified to not conduct an autopsy. New York laws state that a family member may request that no autopsy be performed if a death shows no criminal association.
According to a report from The Hollywood Reporter, the comedy icon died from lack of oxygen.
The detailed statement from the New York City medical examiner rep Julie Bolcer read: "OCME [Office of the Chief Medical Examiner] has completed its investigation. The cause of Ms. Rivers' death is anoxic encephalopathy due to hypoxic arrest during laryngoscopy and upper gastrointestinal endoscopy with propofol sedation for evaluation of voice changes and gastroesophageal reflux disease. The manner of death is therapeutic complication."
"The classification of a death as a therapeutic complication means that the death resulted from a predictable complication of medical therapy," the statement added.
