Don't break, or mess up your iPad mini 3, as it is rumored to be difficult to be repaired.
The third generation of iPads that Apple has created a new option for the Apple-lovers out there, following the recent release of the iPhone 6 and the 6-plus.
Recently Apple has launched their new iPad Mini 3 with fresh new internal improvements than iPad air 2, gaining a new gold color option and a touch ID fingerprint sensor. Unlike Samsung's Galaxy Tab S, Amazon's new kindle Fire HD7 and Sony's Xperia Z3 Tablet compact, have been met with the latest competition as the iPad mini 3 went on sale in the UK on Wednesday.
It is very surprising that there is not so much difference between iPad mini 2 and iPad mini 3, it come with the features the same 7.9 inch display, A7 processor with M7 coprocessor, 5MP camera and 802.11n Wi-Fi as its predecessor. When iFixit tore it apart they found that unlike iPad Air 2, the front panel glass and LCD on the mini 3 are still separate components, individually replaceable. They found the found the first and only change in the construction is the home button that was attached by a hot glue to the front panel, according to the iFixit report.
Due to this adhesive in the iPad mini 3 holding many components in place in the front glass, battery, front camera, back camera and ribbon cables. The Ifixit handymen had a hard work when they tore open and look inside.
"It is extremely difficult to repair", said iFixit. "this is also not helped by the difficulty involved in removing the home button." "if you want to keep touch ID functionally after a screen replacement, you'll have to transfer the home button to the new front panel," the handymen said.
iFixit therefore gave iPad mini 3 a reparability score of just 2 out of 10.
