Xbox One Drops $50 Off For The 2014 Holiday Season, Kinect Sold Separately: Which Video Game Bundles Are Included In The Special Promo?

As an early Christmas present, Microsoft announces a $50-price drop of its Xbox One console, beginning next week until first week of January, in time for the 2014 holiday season.

The most recent member of the Xbox family, Xbox One follows the Xbox 360 and was released worldwide in November of last year. With Microsoft boasting of a "more fun" experience with Xbox One explaining the console as "a new generation of games and entertainment. Where games push the boundaries of realism. And television obeys your every command. Where listening to music while playing a game is a snap. And you can jump from TV to movies to music to a game in an instant. Where your experience is custom tailored to you. And the entertainment you love is all in one place."

As a direct competitor to Sony's PlayStation family, Microsoft has sold over a million Xbox One consoles within 24 hours since its release. Three days shot of three weeks since the release of Xbox One, sales increased by100%. However, such statistics of course changed over time.

In an effort to regain sales in the last quarter of 2014, Microsoft announces a $50 price drop of Xbox One consoles in preparation for the holiday season 2014.

According to corporate VP Yusuf Mehdi, "Fans don't have to wait for Black Friday this year to enjoy great savings on Xbox One. We're offering our best price yet, with unprecedented choices and value, so more people can play on Xbox One this holiday. We're gearing up for one of our biggest holidays ever and we are thrilled to offer fans up to $150 in savings on Xbox One and some of the biggest blockbuster games of this season."

Video games bundled with Xbox One with a $50 price drop this 2014 holiday season beginning November 2 include "Assasin's Creed" Bundle, "Sunset Overdrive" Bundle - both at $349 and $449 (with Kinect) and "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare" Bundle at $449.

Xbox One $50 price drop this 2014 holiday season is offered to any Xbox One console or bundle, beginning November 2, 2014 to January 3, 2015.
