In the official website, it says, "We listen to our fans. PlayStation has heard gamers when they say they want more ways to find friends, and more ways to personalize their PS4."
So what exactly are the changes gamers will experience upon the nearing release date of PS4 system software update 2.0 firmware "Masamune" after download? The PlayStation Blog reports that three big features headline this system software update: new themes, "share play", and YouTube connectivity.
"With the PS4 System Update 2.0, we've added a Players You May Know file, the ability to listen to your music while playing, the option to change the look of your PS4, and easier ways to sort and filter the PS4's library of content," explains the site further.
The newest feature for PS4 system update 2.0 firmware "Masamune" upon its release date and download is "Share Play", which PlayStation describes simply as a "virtual couch". This new feature allows gamers to share games online, even if the one player doesn't have that game. Basically, "Share Play" enables screen sharing, allows gamers to "pass controller virtually" even though the other does not have the game, and allows multiplayer games.
