Henry Cavill's Man of Steel movie sequel is putting in more and more excitement to DC fans as many "unofficial" photos have been circling around the Internet either from fans who happen to see them while filming Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice in Michigan, or from the cast, crew and extras of the said movie. One Instagram user @Bananadoc posted a photo of Cavill arriving in the location with his (and girlfriend Gina Carano's) Akita dog named Kal-El. He might be maximizing his time filming in Michigan before he heads to Gibraltar to join the Rock Run on October 25.
Speaking of cast, how true is this detail that the movie will feature Batman's sidekick Robin as female? Reports said that the source came from one of the extras in the Dawn of Justice movie, and has not been confirmed by Warner Bros. as of this time. According to the source, Robin's back story will be taken from Frank Miller's 1986 comic series titled "The Dark Knight Returns." In the comics story, a man named Jason Todd was supposed to take on the role of Batman's sidekick and apprentice. But in a tragic story, he will be killed by The Joker, so a red-headed woman named Carrie Kelly will take Todd's place.
Interestingly, Hunger Games star Jena Malone has been picked for the role according to the source's info. Could it really be true or it was mere coincidence when Malone recently posted on Instagram a newly-dyed red hair similar to Carrie Kelly's description in the comics? We can't wait to find out if the info is indeed legit.
Meanwhile, the Batman vs Superman movie will have to move its filming in Chicago next month.
