The overwhelming demand for Redmi 1S among the Indian market has made Xiaomi decide to hold another flash sale today, October 28 via its exclusive online distributor Flipkart. It has recently sold 90,000 of its units within 11.9 seconds last October 21. The 1st three sales were even more astonishing as the handsets were sold out in 5 seconds, while the 4th and 5th sale sold out all units in 5.2 seconds and 13.9 seconds respectively. Now that Flipkart has opened its registration, Xiaomi users are gearing up for yet another big sale happening today.
According to reports, the upcoming 8th flash sale could be the last sale that Xiaomi will hold in India for the year, since it has sold more than 450,000 of its units in India alone. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer is revealed to release another 100,000 Redmi 1S units.
In line with the Deepavali festive season, Xiaomi has announced that it will again offer their high-end device Mi3 which is priced at Rs14,000 ($227). Again, this might be the last time that Mi3 will be offered in India, in order to "make way" for its latest flagship phone, the Mi4. According to Economic Times, Xiaomi will no longer produce Mi3 phones and will already be phased out in India in time for the release of its successor Mi4.
Meanwhile, Deccan Chronicle has come up with some tips on how to get a hold of the gadgets being sold at Flipkart in time for the upcoming flash sale. According to them, Flipkart shoppers need to open at least 3 to 4 browsers and arrange them in tiles on the screen.
Shoppers should be ready 15 minutes before the usual 2PM sale starts by logging in to account on each tile. As the sale time gets closer, shoppers should refresh each window tile every 2-5 seconds (we know it's a lot of work, but can be worth a try) in order to synchronize time with Flipkart server. Patience and alertness is key. Once the "buy now" button is seen, hit the button on all 4 browsers. Basically, the principle behind is this: the more browsers are used, the more chance of grabbing hold of that handset. Let us know if those tips help!
