Blaze Fast-Fire’d Pizza To Come To Florida

| By

Blaze Fast-Fire'd Pizza announced Friday that they will be coming to Florida soon.

By the end of 2015, the build-your-own pizza chain plans to open about 15 stores in the state. The first Florida store is slated to open in November in Ft. Lauderdales' Uptown Centre and the second one near University of Florida in Gainesville in December.

Blaze is an interactive pizza joint that lets customers design their own pizza. In every store, there's an assembly line of ingredients where guests are free to customize their pizzas by choosing from the selection of the freshest ingredients. The 11-inch pizza priced at $8 is sent a blazing hot open-flame oven, which is also the centerpiece of the restaurant. They make sure that the pizzas are cooked to perfection in only 180 seconds.

The restaurant uses a dough made from scratch, following the recipe of the renowned Executive Chef Bradford Kent, also dubbed as the Pizza Whisperer. The dough requires a 24-hour fermentation period. They also offer pizzas with gluten-free dough and vegan cheese ingredients.

Blaze Pizza president and COO Jim Mizas said, "Our mission at Blaze is really simple - we're all about bringing the community a place where guests can connect, create and enjoy great pizza at crazy fast speed."

Mizas said they believe the plan will be a game-changer in Florida as there aren't many restaurants offering made-from-scratch pizza without having to wait for a long time. They boast of their innovative technology that prioritizes speed without compromising the pizza quality.

The chain plans to open six more in the state, including one at the University of Central Florida.

Started in 2012 in Irvine, California, Blaze Fast-Fire'd pizza has started to build a strong following across 11 states. The fast-casual pizza joint is included in Zagat's 10 Innovative Restaurants in Los Angeles.
