| By

The Strain Season 2 release date is several months away from now with the show having wrapped up its first season just last month. However, when it returns next year, you can be sure that it will be more action-packed. According to series creator and writer Guillermo Del Toro, there will be more 'creatures' that will come to the show. If you can recall, last season featured only vampires but in different forms. There are the normal vampires, the zombie-like ones, the ones that look like GI Joes, and then the master with a deformed face. On what kind of creature he is pertaining to, Del Toro didn't specify.

The renowned Mexican director bared this very rare The Strain Season 2 spoiler during an interview with SpinOff website. He didn't say anything about the release date of The Strain season two but he did say that there will be additions to the show.

Del Toro was asked if he'll star Pacific Rim 2 right after Paris Labyrinth.

"No. Actually, we start with The Strain in November, and I'm going to be shooting a creature unit, the action unit, and I'm going to be shooting the Mexican luchador footage, the black-and-white footage that appears in the series. Then I shoot a little movie in April, a small one. Then I start prepping immediately in May. And we start production in end of November, beginning of December."

More actions is enough reason to feel more excited about the new show. Sadly, the Strain season 2 release date is yet to be confirmed.

In a previous the Strain season 2 spoiler from Mia Maestro, who plays Dr. Nora Martinez, she revealed that the group will be divided. That is after Elph (played by Corey Stoll) decided not to kill her estranged wife (played by Natalie Brown) who has already been infected by the virus.

"I think that's going to divide the group definitely," Maestro said in an interview with Zap2it.
