The Here Comes Honey Boo Boo cancellation is something that no one saw coming since it was doing great in ratings. But more than that, nobody expected Mama June Shannon to date the man who molested her own daughter, Anna Marie Caldwell who is also in the show. The allegations are yet to be proven. However, there's no more going back for the stars of the hit TLC reality series. The cancellation is final. For Anna Marie, she's not worried about the cancellation. She's more affected by the news that her mother is going out with registered sex offender Mark McDaniel, the man who abused her when she was eight.
For the first time, the supporting star of the Here Comes Honey Boo Boo show has spoken about the issue. Talking to People.com, Chickadee, as she was called in the show, said that she is confused because she is hearing different stories from different people.
"I'm just confused," she told PEOPLE. "I'm hearing one story from Mama and another one from someone else."
"Mama said the story isn't true and she said she hasn't seen Mark since he's been out of jail," Caldwell says.
"My whole body believes that she is telling the truth," she continues, "but my mind is going back and forth from - you know, hey, she's telling the truth or she's not telling the truth, but most of me believes her."
The Here Comes Honey Boo Boo star even revealed that Mama June didn't believe her the first time she told her about McDaniel.
"A week or so after it happened, I talked to Mama and she was upset, crying and saying, 'I don't believe you, I don't believe you, why would you do this to me?' " Cardwell says. "And I was like, 'Mama, he did that to me and I can't do anything about it. You were never there to see it you were always at work."
The mother of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo star Alana has already broken her silence on Facebook saying the allegation that she's dating a sex offender is totally untrue and that she will never put the life of her children in danger.
Here Comes Honey Boo Boo TV series, which rose to fame through another TLC show Toddlers and Tiaras, ran for four seasons with 52 episodes. It is about the real daily accounts of the life of a six year old Alana, a child beauty pageant.
