| By

Lady Gaga had admitted to her audience in London recently that she takes daily medication for depression.

Gaga was reported to be emotional while she read out a letter from one of her fans who had attempted suicide. To help in her feelings of depression and sadness, her fan has found comfort in Gaga's music. The 28-year-old singer was so touched that she invited her fan to sit on stage while she sang Born This Way.

During her song, Gaga admitted, "I take medication every day for mental illness and depression and don't feel bad about it."

The revelation was a humbling experience to the eyes of millions who are fans of one of the most successful artist in the music industry. It showed that even Gaga is not immune to feelings of sadness and shows that she is still human.

In the past, Gaga had experienced fluctuating weight, which the media quickly scrutinized. She also got depressed as she confessed to Parade magazine that "Six months ago I didn't even want to sing anymore"

However, when she collaborated with jazz legend Tony Bennett on her new album Cheek to Cheek, things changed for Gaga. According to the Poker Face singer, "I tell Tony every day that he saved my life... I'm not going to say names, but people get irrational when it comes to money - with how they treat you, with what they expect from you... But if you help an artist, it doesn't give you the right, once the artist is big, to take advantage of them."

Lady Gaga, born as Stefani Joanne Germanotta, is an American singer, songwriter and actress. She rose to prominence in 2008 when she released her debut album, The Fame. Gaga is known for her flamboyant fashion in her live performances, and music videos. As of June 2014, Gaga is one of the best-selling musicians of all time. She received 5 Gammy Awards and 13 MTV Video Music Awards.
