Daddy Ryan Gosling was seen stepping out in Atlanta last Friday, October 24 for the first time since he and Eva Mendes welcomed their daughter, baby Esmeralda.
The 33-year-old actor had returned to work just after on and a half months since Mendes gave birth. He began begin filming his upcoming movie The Nice Guys starring Russel Crowe, Matt Bomer and Kim Basinger. This is Gosling's first film after his first child was born.
The Canadian actor began dating his The Place Beyond the Pines co-star Eva Mendes last September 2011. The couple kept the pregnancy a secret from the media until Esmeralda Amanda was born last September 14 this year.
Gosling was a former member of Disney Channel's Mickey Mouse club for two years and worked with cast members Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera. After appearing in several movies and television series, he transitioned to bigger roles and rose to prominence in 2004 when he played the lead role in the romantic drama movie The Notebook in which he won several awards including four Teen Choice Awards and an MTV Movie Award. Afterwards, Gosling had a three-year absence from the main screen and then quickly went back and Gosling starred in five movies in 2010 and 2011.
At that time of Mendes' pregnancy, sources from Us Weekly said that Ryan was really thrilled that he has a baby girl. Even when Mendes was pregnancy, the loving boyfriend of the 40-year-old actress was very supportive and patient. According to the source, "Ryan goes out and gets the groceries. [Eva's] been wanting pasta, and he's cooking her meals... Ryan has already stepped into the role of caring father."
Mendes has not been seen in public since the time she gave birth.
Gosling previously dated his Murder by Numbers co-star Sandra Bullock and The Notebook co-star Rachel McAdams before living together with Mendes.
