The X-Factor UK: Will Stereo Kicks Lose 2 Of its Members? Members Deny Rumors But Louis Walsh Plays Coy In Interview!

| By

The decision to keep the new boy band an eight-member group shocked fans of 'The X-Factor UK' at first. Although the number seemed daunting, fans believed that Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, and Mel B put them together for a reason.

According to Walsh, however, he had nothing to do with the decision. In fact, it was all Cowell's idea.

"I didn't connect with the band," Stereo Kicks' mentor Louis Walsh told Sarah-Jane Crawford during an interview for The Xtra Factor "Simon's the one who put eight in the band. I didn't."

Cheryl FV also voiced out her concern about their performance becoming too "overwhelming." According to her, they weren't really getting the hysteria that they initially thought the eight guys would bring.

During last Sunday's elimination, the group had to sing off with Chloe-Jasmine after their medley failed to impress. Thankfully, Stereo Kicks was able to keep their place in the competition. Soon after, rumors of the group losing members started to erupt.

With Walsh's history of unconventional (and sometimes unpopular) decisions on 'The X-Factor UK,' would Westlie's former manager really trim the group into six or four?

He ominously told Crawford, "I'm going to have to talk to the boys."

When prodded about the issue, Walsh jokingly answered, "I'm not telling you on live TV, someone might be watching."

A source reportedly told The Sun newspaper, "Louis is looking at whether two should go. This is already being talked about with the group and the rest of the boys are open to it."

The Mirror UK reported that Walsh could be axing two of the boys from the group. According to Yahoo UK, Charlie Jones posted suspicious tweets and he had been absent in a recent Stereo Kicks group photo. Bibby was quick to reassure fans that the group won't be trimmed through the group's Twitter account.

The Mirror UK predicted that 16-year-old Reece Bibby and 14-year-old Charlie Jones could possibly be the ones to be axed from the group.

Stereo Kicks is the only act left competing for Groups after Blonde Elektra and Overload got booted off the show earlier.

Do you think trimming down Stereo Kicks into six or four would help them win 'The X-Factor UK?'
