There's no denying the close ties between pop superstar Ariana Grande and brother Frankie. While there have been many testaments to it, an interview the "Love Me Harder" singer did with The Telegraph revealed how big of a force her sibling is in her personal life and musical career.
"Everything he did was cool," said Ariana Grande about brother Frankie. "He's 10 years older than me - he would kill me for saying that! But once Frankie got into acting in musical theater and dancing, I was like 'OK, I guess that's the cool thing now, so let's investigate and watch old musicals."
Ariana Grande and brother Frankie have been the best of friends, to say the least. The singer has been very vocal about her love and admiration for her brother, who is gay and those were the reasons she decided to convert to a different religion. They were practicing Catholics when they were younger but chose to be part of the Kabbalah faith.
"When my brother was told that God didn't love him I was like, 'OK, that's not cool,'" she said. "They were building a Kabbalah centre in Florida so we both checked it out and really had a connection with it."
Grande attributed part of her success in life to converting to the Kabbalah movement, saying "Since then my life has unfolded in a really beautiful way, and I think that it has a lot to do with the tools I've learned through Kabbalah, I really do."
But her success does not come without challenges. The "Break Free" singer recently faced allegations that she behaves like a "diva." A previous report from New York Daily News said the singer was seen behaving like a spoiled brat in a lobby of Out Hotel.
"Before she got there she made security clear out the entire lobby. Even if you were a guest at the hotel you had to clear out," a source reportedly told the publication. "No one could sit in the lobby, but she came in the back. She took up a unisex bathroom with her mother and father and put two bodyguards outside."
Grande appears to not be fazed, however, as the singer answered the rumors saying "It's funny how a certain amount of success comes with a certain amount of weird, inaccurate depictions of you."
