People haven't seen much of the Huckleberry Quinn in Scandal Season 4. Just in case you haven't been following, Huckleberry Quinn is the term to the ship that Guillermo Diaz's Huck and Katie Lowes' Quinn Perkins built over the past three seasons of the NBC show. The couple is known for having wild and weird sex scenes, like licking her while she's trapped in duct tape, having sex in a car, and getting aroused by the blood of a person. This ship is giving Olitz (made up of Kerry Washington's Olivia Pope and Tony Goldwyn's Fitzgerald Grant) a run for their money. Five episodes into Scandal Season 4, fans are hoping they will see more of the Huckleberry Quinn.
The sexy scenes between Lowes and Diaz always become trending topics among fans of the show so expect the same reception once those come out again in Scandal Season 4. Some think those kinds of intimate sequences give the show a different element while other think they are too daring. For the 32-year old American actress, she's aware that those scenes are not like what people usually see on TV.
"Those are pretty racy, am I right?" Lowes told ELLE's Women.
"I feel like it's honest for the character, only because this is a person who tortures and kills people for a living. Her threshold for pain and pleasure is vastly different from mine. Guillermo and [George Newbern's] Charlie and I are all spies. The rules that we're playing by sexually and non-sexually are drastically different than your normal Joe."
She also said that she finds them difficult to watch.
"I don't watch really," Lowes admitted. "I kind of squint my eyes. But I have a hard time watching my scenes, whether they're sex scenes or not. You watch yourself back and it's not the most fun part of the job."
Although she feels that way, Lowes assure that she and Diaz will make racy scenes more convincing and tasteful.
As for the Scandal Season 4, she thinks that it is the best that the show has ever had because each actor know the characters they are playing and the script is well-written.
Scandal Season 4 airs on NBC every Thursday at 9:00 PM.
