Earlier Gotham TV series spoiler revealed that the show will welcome more familiar characters from the Batman world. In an interview with IGN, director and producer Danny Cannon and actor Sean Pertwee hinted that a new villain and a close Wayne family colleague that were both seen in the comics will be gracing the Fox TV show. Well, the production team has found an actor for one of the two new casts.
Reports say Morena Baccarin, last seen in HBO's Homeland as the wife of Damian Lewis' Nicholas Brody, will be joining the Fox show. After a well-received role in Homeland for three seasons, Baccarin's character was then left off as the show made a major reset in the storyline. This fresh Gotham TV series spoiler was first revealed by TV Line.
It wrote:
"The doctor is in, and she's hot for Detective Gordon!
Homeland's Morena Baccarin is joining Gotham in the iconic DC Comics role of Dr. Leslie Thompkins, TVLine has learned.
Thompkins is a gifted and dedicated physician who was a friend of the late Thomas and Martha Wayne. She is determined to use her skills to aid Gotham's most in need, which currently means working at the newly opened Arkham Asylum's Home for the Criminally Insane.
In addition to her medical skills, her coolness under pressure will serve her well as she finds herself drawn to Ben McKenzie's James Gordon and into more and more dangerous waters."
Baccarin had a successful stint in Joss Whedon's critically acclaimed but short-lived Firefly. In this 2002 series, the 35-year old Brazilian-American actress played the role of Inara Serra. Although was praised by critics, the show was canceled after only one season.
Although this is an exciting Gotham TV series spoiler for fans, they will have to wait a little longer as TV Line said that Leslie Thompkins in the hot body and beautiful face of Baccarin will be seen only in 2015.
