Google Nexus 6 and Google Nexus 9 are the first that runs in Android L. The Android Lollipop 5.0 update will roll out starting on November 03. HTC and Motorola has announced its list of devices that will receive the update.
Meanwhile, Samsung hasn't announced about its plan on the Android L update because the company is still working on to Install Android 4.4.4 Kitkat update on its various devices.
According to IBTimes Samsung Galaxy S5, S4, Note 3 and Grand 2users can update their devices to Android 4.4.4 KitKat soon.
It also added that Samsung completed its testing on Samsung Galaxy S5 and install Android 4.4.4 update will roll out later this month in European (900F) and Asian (G900I) models. Note 3 N900 and the Note 3 LTE GNO005 are also expected to be updated this month.
While Galaxy S4 I9500, S4 LTE I9505 and Note 3 Neo will receive the Android 4.4.4 update in November.
As per IBTimes Samsung hasn't finalized schedule of updates for S4 Mini Duos I9192, S4 Mini I9190, Note 2 N7100, Note 2 LTE N7105 including Grand 2 Duos G7102 and Grand 2 G7105.
Meanwhile, Samsung Galaxy S3 will receive an Android 4.4.4 KitKat update in some countries.
"Surprisingly enough, there's another model of the Galaxy S3 that is receiving this Android 4.4.4 KitKat update. If you live in one of the five Nordic countries (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway or Sweden), you can expect to see an Android update for your GT- i9305N Galaxy S3," Androidorigin.com reports.
Moreover, Christian Post reported that before installing Android 4.4.4 Kitkat update requires 285 MB of free space; enough battery and has a strong internet connection is also needed.
The website also added on how to install Android 4.4.4 Kitkat update.
"If the device is already available, users should receive a notification. People can just tap the "Download Now" prompt. Select "Install Now." Other ways to update are through the Samsung KIES and manual installation. For manual process, go to Settings > More > About phone > Software updates > Check for software updates."
While Samsung Galaxy S5 is expected to receive Android L update.
