Modern Family actress and comedian Sophia Vergara had an awkward encounter with her ex fiancé Nick Loeb in an event last Monday, October 20. Loeb was seen sneaking up to the voluptuous actress on the red carpet at the The Angel Ball in New York City. The actress looked surprised and unaware of her ex's presence.
While the 42-year-old Columbian-hailed actress was posing for photographers and doing interviews, Loeb had awkwardly crept behind her and had whispered in Vergara's ear, "Good to see you." This was according to the eyewitness who saw the entire thing happened.
The eyewitness told Us that the actress looked terribly "shocked."
Another witness told Us that the female comedian seemed not too happy and excited to see Loeb. According to the source, "Sofia totally gave Nick the cold shoulder," and then turned to walk away.
A month ago, Vergara, who played Gloria Delgado-Pritchett in the well-loved comedy series, apparently met up with Loeb in New York City. They remain friends and there "wasn't anything romantic about their meeting nor was it a secret that they met up," according to the source.
Loeb and Vergara cancelled their two year engagement earlier this year. Vergara is now dating True Blood star Joe Manganiello.
At the age of 18, Vergara was married to her childhood sweetheart, Joe Gonzalez and gave birth to their son Manolo in September 1992. The couple divorced in 1993.
For Vergara's work on Modern Family, she has received nominations for four Golden Globe Awards, four Primetime Emmy Awards and seven Actors Guild Awards. She also appeared in a handful of movies including Four Brothers (2005), Meet the Browns (2008) and Madea Goes to Jail (2009), Chef (2014).
Vergara was named one of People magazine's "50 most beautiful people". She is also recognized as one of the most influential Latin Women in Hollywood.
