It seems that the much-awaited Sleater-Kinney Reunion is finally happening, and fans cannot get more excited about it.
The band, comprised of Carrie Brownstein, Corin Tucker, and Janet Weiss has confirmed their return in the music scene with a brand new album, their first one in ten years. This is after they released and surprised fans with a new single called "Bury Our Friends." Ther album is going to be called "No Cities To Love" and will be released on January 20th under Sub Pop Records.
If that doesn't excite fans enough, the Sleater-Kinney Reunion is also set to be marketed with a band as they have also announced that they will be doing a reunion tour which will start ferbruary of two thousand fifteen.
After the whole single release, announcement of the album and reunion tour, the band has once again surprised everyone with a new video of the single.
According to Inlander: "There's been a feeling that something was going down, reunion-wise, when a new song, "Bury Our Friends," was delivered via 7" vinyl in the band's new box set of remastered old albums, Start Together. And now there's a video (of sorts) of that new song"
As quoted from Consequence of Sound: "According to a press release, the album was secretly recorded at San Francisco's Tiny Telephone Recordings earlier this year. Producer John Goodmanson, who worked with Sleater-Kinney on four studio albums, returned to helm No Cities to Love."
We're thrilled that the announcements just keep on coming, and we wonder if the band has anything in store for the next month. Maybe they have numerous announcements lined up for fans leading up to the album release and tour.
