Apple iOS 8.1 update has rolled out today as Apple announced last week that there will be another updates after iOS 8.0.1 and iOS 8.0.2.
Apple's iOs 8 was launched alongside with Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus last month.
Users had been very excited to experience the new iOS, but it turned into dismay as it faced a lot of issues.
Should you update to Apple iOs 8.1 or not?
Apple iOS 8.1 has just started rolling out, and brings back the camera roll folder.
The update include: the first debut of the iCloud library; Apple pay intriduction to businesses in the US and enables iPhone users to send and receive text messages from their iPads and Macs.
There are a lot of advantages that iOS 8 and tweaks to your iPhone.
One of these is its camera features that allows Time Lapse mode, real-time exposure adjustment, a timer (3 sec or 10 sec), and the iPad can take panoramic shots while older iPhones get burst mode.
The new iOS also enables voice messaging apps.
Third-party keyboards cab be downloaded to replace your boring default keyboard.
You can enjoy all these features in the new iOS.
But before upgrading you must check if your device is compatible to the new iOS iPhone 4s and later versions are compatible and so with iPads latesr version.
You can't update these devices: iPhone 4 and older, the original iPad, and 4th- gen and older iPod touches.
If your device is compatible, you might want to clear up at least 5GB free of storage as the update requires.
But according to reports do no update your iPhone 4s and iPad 2. It will slow down your device's performance.
Reports from Art Technica stated that, "iOS 8 will slow down your handset noticeably with two times slower launching of stock apps,. almost three seconds longer booting and more."
It also added that "the 4S uses 2.4GHz-only 802.11n Wi-Fi, has no LTE, and uses an Apple A5 chip that is no match for the 5S' A7 chip, let alone the A8 in the iPhone 6."
It was also reported that the iPhone 4s struggles to keep up with new iOS as the result slower loading of app.
Once you update to Apple iOS 8.1 you can no longer rolll back to an older iOS.
If you want your iPhone 4s to keep its smooth performance it's better to be outdated, but still you have the option to update.
