Nokia Lumia 520 vs. HTC Desire 300: Nokia, since it was sold to Microsoft, started manufacturing "high-end' smartphones yet affordable, and so with the Taiwanese manufacturer which targets the Asian market.

Design & Display

The HTC Desire 300 sports a larger screen display than of the Nokia Lumia 520. It comes with 131.8 by 66.2 by 10.1 mm while the latter offers 19 by 64 by 9.9. of the two devic, but the Lumia 520 is heavier.

Desire 300 has a bit larger screen display compared to the Lumia 520 at a 4.3-inch TFT display with 480 by 800 pixels resolution. The Lumia screen is 0.3 inches less and uses IPS for its LCD touch screen with the same resolution with the Desire 300.

Performance

Hardware and OS
Both of these devices runs in a 1 GHz dual core processor from the same manufacturer Qualcomm, but run on different chipsets.

Well, we can't expect too much of these devices that is supported by 512Mb of RAM.

The Desire 300 has an MSM8225 Snapdragon S4 Play chipset and comes with 4GB less of inbuilt memory.

While the Lumia 520 has an MSM8227 chipset and has a built in 8 GB memory.

Their external memories are expandable through an external memory card slot up to 32GB for Nokia Lumia 520 and up to 64GB for the HTC Desire 300.

Camera


Both Lumia 520 and Desire 300 sports the same primary camera of 5MP, While HTC Desire 300 also has a secondary VGA camera.

Battery Life


The HTC Desire has a Li-Ion 1650 mAh battery, which is more than the Li-Ion 1430 mAh on the Lumia 520. Desire 300 users will be able to talk 11 hours on their phone using a 3G network while the Lumia 520 will give 2 hours less on the same network.
