Resident Evil: Revelations 2 To Be Released On 2015: Your 'Original' Survival Horror Gameplay Is Back With A Vengeance!

Your "original" survival horror gameplay is back! Resident Evil: Revelations 2 will be release on February 2015!

After the successful release of Resident Evil: Revelations two years ago, Capcom decided to develop another sequel. Resident Evil: Revelations 2 stars Claire Redfield will be the main protagonist and Barry Burton's daughter, Moira, will play a supporting role. First, it will be set between the events of Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6 and later, will be releasing an episodic form and afterwards a complete version.

Resident Evil: Revelations 2 is a survival horror video game originally for the Nintendo 3DS, which was developed and published by Capcom. The four episode game returns to the survival horror gameplay of earlier series installments, with returning features such as a limited supply of ammo, and more focus on exploration and puzzle solving than action and shooting. The game also allows the player to switch between a first-person and third-person perspective, meaning players can swap between the two characters as they play.

The beginning of the tale of the survival horror gameplay sees fan favorite Claire Redfield make a dramatic return to the fears that haunted her in the past. Survivor of the Raccoon City incident showed in previous Resident Evil games, Claire now works for the anti-bioterrorism organization Terra Save. On the other hand, Moira Burton, new recruit and daughter of Resident Evil legend Barry Burton, is attending her welcome party for Terra Save when mysterious armed forces raid the office. Claire and Moira are taken, knocked unconscious and awaken later to find themselves in a dark and abandoned detention facility. They will be working together to find out who took them and to what sinister end. With the terrifying Afflicted enemies waiting around everywhere, players will need to use their ammo and weapon supply wisely, in classic survival horror style.

According to a listing on Sony's PlayStation Store, the game will be released on February 17, 2015, where the full season will cost $24.99 digitally while individual episodes will cost $5.99. Capcom also announced at this weekend's New York Comic Con that pre-orders on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 will come with a Throwback stage pack.

However, reports said Capcom plans to release Resident Evil Revelations 2 episodes on a weekly basis, then bring the full game to the market without a specific date. The developer didn't confirm the February 17 release date instead, it's sticking to its announced "early 2015" release window. Revelations 2 is sure to come to PS3, PS4, Windows PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One next year.
