The 80's motion picture has been rumored to reboot on an unannounced date, with original actor Bill Murray (Dr. Peter Venkman) having the idea of a new female version.
The actor said he did not want to be on the screen on the reboot, and planned Bridesmaids' actresses Melissa McCarthy and Kristen Wiig as possible stars.
"Melissa would be a spectacular Ghostbuster. And Kristen Wiig is so funny - God, she's funny!" he told the Toronto Star.
Feig, as of now, is reported to join up with The Heat screenwriter Katie Dippold to co-write the script, with Ivan Reitman serving as a producer on the film.
The supernatural comedy film "Ghostbusters" that started 30 years ago; one of the most favorite films across the world, is now believed to once again hit the theaters for its third full-length feature sequel, "Ghostbusters 3."
