The Flash Series Arrow crossover episodes have a lot of DC fans agitated. Earlier reports say there will be two episodes of this, both on the eighth episode of the two DC Comics-based series. While the meeting of Grant Gustin's Barry Allen and Stephen Amell's Oliver Queen has fans excited, another The Flash series talks that is taking over forums is the possible arrival of Brandon Routh's Ray Palmer in Starling City.
Routh, who is also known for playing the lead role in Superman Returns and as Daniel Shaw in NBC's Chuck, is aware of these discussions and he, too, is looking forward to meet the guys from Star Labs.
"Marc said that if the shrinking was going to happen, it's more likely to be on 'The Flash,'" the actor revealed according to Comicbookmovie.com.
"But I have no knowledge of a crossover or any of that. 'Arrow' is very grounded in reality, so nobody really has any powers. That is a challenging thing, to have you bring a character like the Atom in, with his trademark thing being that he shrinks."
Routh is referring to a the Flash series question made by fans during a screening for Arrow season 3.
"I think anything is possible. My instinct is that if Ray Palmer's going to shrink, he'll probably shrink on another show," Guggenheim said.
"With The Flash in existence, there's no real compelling reason for us to do super powers on Arrow. We can bring characters to Flash to have super powers. We have plans for Ray that don't involve shrinking, but our plans for Ray are actually really cool."
Although the Flash series talks about Routh crossing over from Arrow as the Atom is yet to be confirmed, fans can rejoice as Ray Palmer will have his own back story.
"From the beginning, when I met with Marc [Guggenheim] and Andrew [Kreisberg], they mentioned that they were thinking of doing a flashback episode all about Ray, or just about the day that something happened in his life at the same time that it happened in other characters' lives."
