Nina Pham, 26, was the first nurse at Texas Health Presbyterian hospital contracted the virus from Thomas Eric Duncan while caring the Ebola patient. Duncan, is a Liberian who flies to Dallas carrying the virus. He was admitted at Texas Health Presbyterian hospital for several days and died on October 8. He is the first Ebola patient to die in the US.
The 26-year-old nurse was reported to be doing good Wednesday.
Today, according to reports Pham will be transferred to National Institutes For Health Hospital In Maryland.
Two days ago Pham released a statement that indicates she's slowly recovering.
Her statement reads: "I'm doing well and want to thank everyone for their kind wishes and prayers. I am blessed by the support of family and friends and am blessed to be cared for by the best team of doctors and nurses in the world here at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas."
According to CBS Pham's father said in an interview: "She's doing fine. Her spirits are good," he said.
Her father also added that she'll be transferred to another hospital but didn't say which hospital.
But according to reports she will be moved to National Institutes of Health facility in Bethesda, Maryland.
Ebola virus continues to threaten the US as another nurse that contracted the virus was Amber Vinson, 29. She was diagnosed with Ebola virus Wednesday morning and health officials moved her to Emory University Hospital's isolation unit Wednesday night.
The 29-year- old nurse traveled from Cleveland, Ohio to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport Monday, after she registered a low-grade fever of 99.5 degrees. According the the CDC, Vinson reported her low- grade fever and was given the OK to fly.
