The Constantine TV series release date is October 24. That is pretty much one week from now. Before that big day for the fans of the DC supernatural detective comes, expect more spoilers as showrunner David S. Goyer revealed that there will be arrival of more characters from the Hellblazer comics where the show was based from. Goyer, known for his works in the Batman trilogy, Blade: Trinity, and Man of Steel, said during the New York Comic-Con that major John Constantine enemies will join the NBC series. Who will they be?
Entertainment news website Hit Fix collated the revelations made by Goyer during the New York Comic-Con and it is filled with teasers that will make you wish it is October 24 already. In earlier Constantine TV series spoiler, it was revealed that police officer Jim Corrigan, later known as the Spectre, will be in the show for a recurring role and will be played by Guardians Of The Galaxy's' Emmett J. Scanlan. As the series progresses, more familiar Hellblazer characters will grace the series.
"Papa Midnite and Corrigan are going to appear in the near future. Doctor Fate may show up as well (more winks and nudges seeming to indicate that it's more than a maybe). Again, the longer the series gets to run, the more we'll get to see. Perhaps jokingly, Goyer said that he was lobbying for Detective Chimp."
Another major Gotham TV series spoiler revealed during the event by Goyer is the possible arrival of of John Constantine's main nemesis, Lucifer Morningstar.
"We will be getting Lucifer's voice in the third episode of the season, but that seems to be about it for now. Also known as the "First of the Fallen," Goyer said Lucifer isn't a character you want to rush to the screen, you have to build up to him. One prominent shout from the audience suggested they not do Lucifer until season five, a thought that amused Goyer."
So now that you know the Constantine TV series release date, major characters and upcoming villains, all you need to do is mark your calendar and set an alarm to make sure that you'll never miss the epic first episode.
