| By

Snapchat now lets you claim bragging rights over your friends by earning a trophy. But before you do, know the meaning of each and how to get one.

Introduced by the same update brought new filters, emojis, and paid replays, trophies are your rewards for doing certain things on Snapchat.

"These trophies are earned by completing different activities such as sending videos, pictures with filters, multiple colors or even for updating your Snapchat app," iDigitalTimes said.

All of the trophies you earn can be seen in your trophy case. To access this, "just tap the ghost on the main screen, and then when looking at your ghost code, tap the arrow at the top," Get Emoji said.

There are 16 trophies divided into groups. Note that some of them have multiple levels of achievement. According to Medium, this means "there are a total of 29 different trophies."

Now that you know more about a Snapchat trophy, it's time to decode their meaning. Below are a few examples as listed in SnapchatTrophies.com.

Score trophies are unlocked by hitting a certain Snapchat score. Earning a baby emoji trophy means you've gained a score of 10. Keep earning all the way up to 500,000 to get the ghost emoji trophy.

Filter trophies, the one finger pointed up and two fingers pointed up/peace sign emojis, are mean you sent a snap with one or two filters applied.

Send a video snap to earn the video tape trophy, your first video trophy. Keep sending 50 and you get an old school camera emoji and at 500, get the video camera trophy.

Camera trophies (loop emojis) are earned by flipping the camera in a video snap. Apparently, these are exclusive to iPhones.

Lastly, sending snaps with five or more pen colors earns you the lollipop, rainbow and palette emoji trophies.
