H1Z1 post-apocalyptic game will be available on PlayStation 4 soon!
Sony Entertainment officially confirmed the release of a PS4 version of H1Z1.
"Though Sony Online Entertainment has stated multiple times already that they were planning on bringing it to the PlayStation 4. Today, the studio confirmed that that will indeed be the case," Sony Online Entertainment President John Smedley confirmed along with the two hours presentation of gameplay footage.
"We're SONY Online, so we have a certain level of quality we like to achieve before putting a game out. And the fact is it doesn't go out until we are happy with it," Smedley explained.
According to Gamezone, Smedley said that the first release of this post-apocalyptic game will be made in PC through Steam Early Access.
"It's PC first, only because we haven't started on the PS4 version," said Smedley.
H1Z1 is a Massively Multiplayer Online (MMO) Game developed by Sony Online Entertainment for the PlayStation 4 and for the PC. It emphasizes multi-player cooperation, trading, and team-building instead of the usual PVP or Player Vs. Player setting. The game created by game designer Adam Clegg is set in the United States during a zombie apocalypse were in, players will have to interact with the resources in the world to survive, build shelters, and craft weapons against zombies.
It is a free-to-play game that will create another world for gamers.
"This is our own take on zombie survival. It's set in anywhere America. It being in America already feels different. We're creating our own persistent world and our own take on zombies," Clegg told in an interview during the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles this past June.
"With the vehicles and all the stuff that's in this game, it feels like it's our own. It's not about being similar or trying to be like another game. It's trying to set the world apart. It's our own take on it."
As early as now, H1Z1 is trying to build its name as a strong contender for MMO kingship with their win as the "Best Game to Mess with Your Friends" during PAX Prime 2014.
On the event, Griffin Vacheron of Crave Online was able to get his hands on the game demo:
"H1Z1 is first and foremost about freedom, and how the player decides to use that freedom is going to both shape and define their experience," he said in his review.
Cyberland revealed that H1Z1 is set to be released in PC on October 2014. While PS4's final release date is yet to be confirmed.
